Information for Stallholders at Sneinton

This page contains information for prospective stallholders. Please read it carefully BEFORE booking a stall.

The Sneinton market runs from 10am to 2:30pm on a Saturday at Sneinton Market Avenues, NG1 1DW. It does not run every month so check the booking page for available dates.

We welcome stalls of any type. Your business does not have to be entirely vegan but ALL products or services sold or promoted at the market MUST be vegan in accordance with the Vegan Society definition. We reserve the right to refuse bookings for any reason; we wish to ensure that the market has a diverse range of stalls and that the stalls represent a positive vegan message. If your business is part of a MLM (Multi-level marketing) scheme then please check the appropriate section of the Terms and Conditions before applying.

There are 16 to 20 outdoor pitches available. Fees depend on the type of stall.

We may pick and choose which stalls can trade each month to create a vibrant and diverse market.

Stalls must have a gazebo or other covering. You can rent a gazebo from us if you do not have one. If you bring your own covering you must ensure that it is in good, safe condition and weighted down (the site can get very windy). There is an additional charge for outdoor stalls that extend more than 3 metres in either direction.

You can also have a stall in one of the undercrofts that run between the avenues. These stalls are undercover so you don’t need a gazebo. The stall must be just a single table.

Tables are available to rent. We do not provide table cloths.

There are electricity connections available to some pitches. There is a price to rent these and the electricity is metered and charged after the market. The supply comes from a 16 amp socket. We may be able to supply an adapter and 13-amp extension cable if you need one.

All electrical equipment used must have a valid PAT test certificate.

Generators are not permitted on the Sneinton Avenues site.

Vehicles can be brought onto the site to set up and dismantle your stall. Vehicles must be removed from the site during market hours; there is metered on-street parking available nearby.

Stallholders must have Public Liability Insurance that covers their activities at the market and Product Liability Insurance for any retail products they make. Any stall serving food must have local authority food safety registration and documented food safety procedures. Any stall selling cosmetics must have a licence and product test certificates. Stalls selling alcohol must arrange their own event licence. All stallholders should carry out a risk assessment before trading. These documents will be checked before you trade.

Please also read the Terms and Conditions for Stallholders which includes a code of conduct for all traders.

If you wish to trade at the market, please complete forms to register your business and make a booking at Sneinton.
